Cuba has a tropical climate that is moderated by trade winds. May through October is considered to be the rainy season and average rainfall is over 100 mm per month during that time. During our August 2014 trip to Cuba, we got caught in a brief tropical rainstorm while exploring the capital. We took refuge at a local gas station near the iconic Hotel Nacional and recorded this sound of the rain and traffic.
