The Great Smoky Mountains are a mountain range that rises along the Tennessee and North Carolina border in the southeastern United States. It is the largest stretch of old growth forest east of the Mississippi River and the National Park attracts the most visitors of any National Park in the US. This sound was recorded just outside the park in the early morning and spotlights some of the areas bird, frog and insect inhabitants.
