Castle Valley Cave
The Pestera Valea Cetatii is a cave located about 3 km from the town of Rasnov in central Romania. With the canopy high overhead, visitors hike uphill on a beautiful mountain path with steep tree covered banks on both sides to get there. Discovered in 1949, this well preserved cave is approximately one kilometer deep and the stalactites are still growing about one centimeter per year. This sound recording of the moisture dripping represents the passing of geological time, and can only be heard when all the tour groups have exited.
