The heartbeat of Belize’s Garifuna culture lies within its musical rhythms. In Hopkins, the Lebeha Drumming Center provides a venue for local drum masters and student drummers to come together to practice Garifuna songs and dances. Some of the percussion instruments used are handmade out of turtle shells and coconuts.
