Waking Up the Jungle
In the ancient days of the Mayans, Tikal was a powerful kingdom. Situated in northern Guatemala, the ruins of the city offers evidence of the advanced civilizations formed by our ancestors. Tikal resides in tropical rainforest with fertile soil and an abundance of animals and birds roam freely throughout its grounds. Each morning the howler monkeys cry out to the sky in what appears to be the waking up of this extraordinary jungle.
