The Bean
The Cloud Gate, or “The Bean”, is a sculpture that is the centerpiece of Millennium Park in downtown Chicago. Built between 2004 and 2006, the sculpture is made up of stainless steel plates that are welded together. The highly polished, seamless exterior makes the sculpture popular with tourists due to the unique reflections of the skyline and park it creates.
