Pagan
Built between the 9th and 13th centuries, Bagan is an ancient city and the capital of the Pagan Kingdom. More than 2,200 Buddhist temples, pagodas and monasteries remain including the Ananda Temple. Built in 1105 AD, the temple is one of the most revered sites amongst the ruins. Visitors are greeted by the morning birdlife and the ringing of the massive bells that surround the impressive structure.
