Lake Superior
Originally built in 1905, the Aerial Lift Bridge is one of Duluth’s most visited landmarks. Spanning approximately 120 meters, the transporter bridge can be elevated to a maximum height of 135 feet and is raised frequently throughout the day for boats, cargo ships and ferries. In this clip, a customary horn-blowing sequence from local boats can be heard.
