Cuu Long Giang
In Vietnam, the Mekong River is called the Cuu Long Giang, or “River of Nine Dragons”, due to its nine river mouths. The network of rivers connecting Ho Chi Minh City with the Mekong Delta is commonly referred to as the Southern Waterways. This sound was recorded on a commercial shipping vessel carrying furniture and the Marks Bros., who hitched a ride to southern Vietnam in 2014.
