Khövsgöl Nuur
Located at the foot of the Sayan Mountains near the Russian border, Lake Khövsgöl is Mongolia’s largest lake by volume. The lake is 136 km long and 262 km deep and contains 70% of Mongolia’s fresh water. As part of a national park, the area hosts a variety of wildlife that includes a vocal goose population.
