All across Bulgaria, traditional ceremonies are held on Easter, the holiest day of the Eastern Orthodox calendar. The town of Blagoevgrad is located in southwestern Bulgaria at the foot of the Rila Mountains. It is home to the Vavedenie Bogordichno church where this sound was recorded on Easter Sunday, 2014.
