The Galápagos Islands are an archipelago of volcanic islands located in the eastern Pacific Ocean. The islands are famous for the numerous endemic species that are found there. Genovesa Island is known as Bird Island for its large and varied bird colonies that nest there including Frigate birds, Red-footed Boobies, and Nazca Boobies.
