Beer is a large part of German culture and the famous Hofbräuhaus is a brewery in Munich that serves up large mugs of beer to festive crowds. It was founded in 1589 by the Duke of Bavaria, Wilhelm V and is one of the city’s oldest beer halls. Brewing beer in accordance with the “Bavarian Beer Purity Law”, the Hofbräuhaus uses only the four ingredients of water, malt, hops, and yeast.
