Bayou
Louisiana is the last state the Mississippi River flows through before reaching the Gulf of Mexico. Near the river’s delta, the sediment and freshwater from the river collides with the saltwater from the Gulf, creating a unique bio-diverse region. These coastal wetlands are home to a wide variety of birds and insects that make their presence heard around sundown.
