The endangered black howler monkey is one of six species of howler monkeys in Central and South America. They have a limited range that includes Belize, Southern Mexico, and Northern Guatemala. These monkeys are well known for their impressive howl that can be heard from over a mile away. This photo was taken at the Community Baboon Sanctuary in Bermudian Landing, Belize where visitors can get a close look at the monkeys.
