Palermo is the capital and cultural heart of the island of Sicily in Italy. The city dates back over 2,700 years and is noted for it’s history, art and architecture. The Palermo Cathedral was originally built in the 12th century and is notable for the presence of differing styles due to its many restorations and additions over the centuries. Throughout the day, the ringing bells can be heard above the vibrant cityscape.
